TAKE CARE

WASHING

Hand wash

Put the sweater in a basin with cold water and a drop of wool detergent.Leave to soak, moving the head a little with your hands from time to time.Rinse well a couple of times and, after squeezing with your hands, lay the sweater on a towel, fold it and let it dry like this before airing again (see DRYING).Or hang it up when it is not too wet (otherwise it may be deformed).

Washing machine

Choose a delicate cycle – If you have a modern washing machine, you can use a hand wash cycle or a wool cycle. If your washing machine does not have a wool cycle, use the cold water wash cycle for delicates.
Wash at lower temperatures – To prevent shrinkage, wash wool only at low temperatures (below 30° Celsius).
Use a dedicated detergent – Use a specific detergent for wool.Contrary to popular belief, never use fabric softener!

DRYING

Air dry

Dryers are not the best for wool products as they tend to shrink them, so air drying is best.

Dry flat

Lay the garment flat on a clean towel, reshape by spreading it out into its normal shape and allow to air dry.If you washed the garment by hand, first roll it up in the towel and wring it out to get rid of excess water.
If the wool gets wet, dry the garment at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat.

IRON

Most wool garments do not require ironing and often just a little steam is more than enough. To iron wool, always set the iron to wool mode, always use steam and avoid ironing the fabric when it is completely dry.

ADVICE

If the garment gets stained, treat it immediately with the solution recommended for that specific stain and let it air dry. This way you don't have to wash the entire garment just for a small spot, saving energy and preserving the material.

WASHING

Machine washable

LYOCELL, thanks to its resistance, can be washed in the washing machine, not using temperatures above 30°, using a cycle suitable for delicates or wool to preserve its characteristics and turning the garment inside out.Furthermore, as with all natural fabrics, it is preferable to use delicate and ecological detergents of natural origin to avoid episodes of fading of the fabrics.

By Hand

Hand washing is the best and safest method for Lyocell garments, taking care to rinse thoroughly to avoid leaving product residues.

DRYING

Air drying
Tumble dryers are not the best for knitwear as they tend to damage them in the long run, so it is best to air dry.
Dry flat

Dry the garment at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat.

IRON

Lyocell garments do not necessarily need to be ironed, the elasticity of the fabric allows for creases to be reduced to a minimum. It is advisable to hang the garment in a warm and humid environment for natural ironing.
If wrinkles appear, it is better to steam lyocell garments, but if you do not have a steamer, you can use an iron.Pass the iron over the garment using the steam setting, approaching the garment without touching it and not using high temperatures which can damage the fabric.

ADVICE

As regards products such as bleach, it may happen that they interact with the dye leaving stains, even the stain remover can damage the garments if applied to the fabric while it is still wet.

To ensure that your garments retain their quality and shape for as long as possible, make sure you never expose them to direct heat, whether it is a hot wash cycle in a washing machine, a drying or hot ironing.Always remember that it's best to wash your clothes as little as possible! This ensures that the garments remain intact for a long time, and is also more respectful of the planet.
When we store lyocell garments in the wardrobe, we do not use plastic bags or envelopes, or similar containers, to prevent moths and mold from damaging them.Store garments in a cool, well-ventilated area.
